The structure of these markets is metallic.Of a total height of 13 meters, the building covers 4400m ². He shelters 246 shops. The arrangement of the roof is strongly inspired by that of the central Les Halles of Paris with the same style of skeleton .
The monument presents a succession of arches and columns. The big arcs is decorated with animal motives and with symbolic themes relating to covered markets : heads of roe deer, wild boar and Cérès who is the god of the harvest and Hermes who is the god of the exchanges and the business.
